The Story Behind

1858 Production

1858 Production was born at the intersection of creativity, culture, and craftsmanship. The name is inspired by a pivotal moment in fashion history—when Charles Frederick Worth, known as the first-ever fashion designer, stitched his name into a garment in 1858. By doing so, he didn’t just launch the legendary House of Worth; he changed the way creators were seen, turning clothing into personal, artistic statements and laying the foundation for branding in fashion. That first stitch was a bold act of ownership and pride—an expression of identity woven directly into the work. It marked the beginning of creators truly claiming their vision.

At 1858 Production, we carry that same spirit into everything we do—from capturing powerful visuals through photography and video to designing clothing that speaks with purpose. Our work is rooted in originality and driven by the desire to leave a mark, just like that first stitch. Whether it’s through a lens or on fabric, this is where identity meets art, and production becomes legacy.

About William – Founder of 1858 Production

I’m William R. Turner Jr., a photographer and cinematographer based in Austin, TX. I created 1858 Production out of a passion for storytelling—capturing the raw, real, and beautiful moments that matter most. From creative street photography to urban fashion portraits, I bring an artistic edge to every project I take on.

I also work with clients one-on-one to bring their visions to life, whether it’s branding, lifestyle, or special event content. When I’m not behind the lens, you’ll find me coaching soccer, mentoring young athletes, and staying connected to the energy of my community. 1858 Production isn’t just a name—it’s a creative hub that blends passion, precision, and purpose.
